Course Edit
Understanding the edit course options.
Add a person to wish list or a qualified instructor to Course Instructors list.
Remove a course from person's wish list or an instructor from Instructors list.
Changing planned course details
Cancelling an attendee from a planned course
Deleting an attendee from a planned course
Adding an attendee to a planned course.
How to edit elements of a course and/or to cancel attendees or the whole course if required:
Select Training Management>Training Management
Click Edit Courses and select the course.
The page is split into two main areas:
· Course details
· Planned course Details
All the primary information about the course itself: e.g. course title, course code, training centre reference, wish lists (Course Personnel) and qualified instructors (Course Instructors).
All the information about each course occurrence: e.g. the dates, start/end time, planned Course Instructors, course attendees etc.
Change the fundamental information about the course.

If a course has already been booked, and it is the planned course that has changed location etc, then there is a need to update the planned course rather than the course. |
· Add or make changes to the required text.
· Click Update Course.
· Select new location from the drop down.
· Select new centre from the drop down.
· Select training activity from the drop down.
· Click Update Course.
· In Person search box, enter the shoulder number, surname or part.
· Click Go.
· If required person is presented, click Add Person or Add Instructor as necessary.
· If more than one match is returned, select the required person from the drop down and click Add Person or Add Instructor as necessary
· Select person in the appropriate list.
· Click Remove Person(s) or Remove Instructor(s).

Adding and removing personnel in this way does not cancel them from an existing course. |
Change the fundamental information about the planned course.
· Make the required changes.
· Click Update Planned.
· Select new item from the required drop down.
· Click Update Planned.
· Select an existing instructor(s) from the planned instructors list.
· Click Remove Instructor(s).
· Select the new instructor from the course instructors drop down.
· Click Add Instructor.
· Open the planned course.
· Select the attendee from the Course list.
· Select the cancellation reason from the drop down.
· Click Cancel Attendees.
· The Course Attendees box will be updated with the cancellation details.
· Open the planned course.
· Select the attendee from the Course list.
· Click Delete Attendees.
· The Course Attendees box will be updated with the removal of the selected attendee.

WARNING: use of the Delete button will remove the selected attendee(s) from the planned course. If you wish to retain the reason for cancelling the selected attendee(s) from the course, use the Cancel button instead. |
· Open the planned course.
· Select the cancellation reason from the drop down.
· Click Update Planned.
· The Course Attendees box will be updated with the cancellation details.
· Open the course to delete.
· Click Delete Planned Course.

WARNING: use of the Delete Planned Course button will remove the Planned Course and all its attendees. If you wish to retain the reason for cancelling this course, use the Update Planned button instead with a cancelled reason. |
· In the Person search box, enter the shoulder number, surname or part.
· Click Go.
· If the required person is presented, click Add Attendee.
· If more than one match is returned, select the required person from the drop down and click Add Attendee.
· The person’s availability will automatically be checked and if available, the attendee will be added to the course.
· If the attendee is unavailable, the following type of page will be presented. (The commitment information will change depending upon the type of commitment. In the example below, the attendee is already on a Rest Day on that date)
· To add the attendee, despite their commitments, click Continue to Add Attendee.
· To NOT add the attendee e.g. they are on Annual Leave, and have no further work to carry out on the planned course, return to the Home Page.
If no current course is available then insert a new course as follows.
· Select Training Management > Training Management
· Click Edit Courses.
· Enter new Course Title.
· Enter new Course Code.
· Enter any Other Information as required.
· Check Include redundant Courses (Highlighted in red)
· Click Search.
· Select Location from drop down list.
· Select Training Centre from drop down list.
· Select Activity from drop down list.
· Click Insert Course.
