Change any organization, rank, skill, date or graph/table information and click Refresh to change the cover graph. Although the example above clearly shows minimum and suggested cover levels, the Resource Cover Graph can be opened without having setup up any minimum cover levels. |
Applying changes to the duty plan can obviously affect the cover (strength) requirements.
There are two main ways that cover can be checked.
First is a manually selected view of cover for any part of the organization and for any date.
Open the Duty Plan.
· Click Cover Graph icon in the date header. See Cover Graph
Second is to check whether any minimum or suggested cover levels are compromised. To perform this check, open the duty plan; select the required dates for the required personnel.
· Click Cover in the button bar.
· Click Submit: carries out the cover check. For each cover where minimum or suggested levels have been set (see Setting up Cover Requirements) a cover graph is displayed:
· Click Cancel to exit without applying any changes.
Graph headings show the particular cover requirements that are being displayed e.g. in the above example it is the Mottram St. Andrew section cover. The left hand box lists the selected personnel that affect this particular cover: e.g. in the above, both people are in the Mottram St. Andrew section.
Affected date is displayed at the bottom of the graph. Buttons on either side of the date allow users to modify the view of the graph: e.g. by default, the view is from midnight to midnight. Adjust it so that it shows, for example, 7 a.m. to 7.a.m., click to the right of the date (to advance the display 6 hours) and then click (to advance a further 1 hour).
· Click Next to view next Cover Graph
· Tick Include standby level I or Include standby level II if required.
· Choose Graph or Table format by clicking on the respective button.
· Click Refresh to show cover.
· Click Previous to show day before
The example above shows:
· Where cover is already below minimum requirements (in red)
· Where cover is between minimum and suggested requirements (in amber)
· Where cover is at or above suggested requirements (in green)
· Click Close to remove the page when finished.
